IFMSA-Granada is the Association of Medical Students of the University of Granada. It is a non governmental organization. In addition, IFMSA-Granada does not have any political or religious ties.
The association IFMSA-Granada is one of the standing committees of IFMSA-Spain (Spanish Federation of Medical Students for International Cooperation). IFMSA is composed of medical students' associations from 87 different countries.
For over 50 years, has served as a meeting place to share ideas and experiences among student organizations, working locally on global ideas about public health, medical education, refugee issues and peace, human rights, reproductive health and AIDS; conducted for the benefit of affected populations and other needy groups.
The main activities of IFMSA are student exchanges and different projects. Around 10000 medical students each year participate in international medical student exchanges, both professional and academic (research). IFMSA organizes projects, programs, seminars and workshops on areas of public health, medical education, reproductive health and propagation of a culture of peace. And we collaborate with agencies such as WHO, UNESCO and UNICEF.
